Key responsibilities
- Partner with business users, Functional BAs, and development teams to deliver solutions for Fixed Income and other business areas.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Create JIRA stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and developer-ready specifications from high-level requirements.
- Bridge business stakeholders and developers, clarify requirements during development, and facilitate walkthroughs.
- Use SQL and XML analysis for validation, troubleshooting, reconciliations, and root cause analysis.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and execute functional, integration, and UAT testing.
- Maintain project documentation, process flows, data mappings, and knowledge repositories.
- Drive process improvements and automation; collaborate globally and mentor junior analysts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar enterprise applications role.
- Strong SQL, XML, XSD, and XPath knowledge; experience with data analysis and XML payloads.
- Experience writing functional specifications and JIRA user stories and working with software development teams through the SDLC.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Confluence, and functional, integration, and UAT testing.
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across geographic locations and time zones.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income, Capital Markets, Trading, or Regulatory Reporting is desirable.
- Interest in using Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar AI tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of FpML, FIX Protocol, ISO 20022, or SWIFT message formats is highly desirable.
