Role overview

Customer-billable senior individual-contributor role providing hands-on technical leadership and owning enterprise Data Foundation engagement outcomes.

The role advises customer executives and delivers governed, AI-ready data foundations using platform-agnostic and platform-centric approaches.

The description uses multiple role labels, including Technical Architect Director, Director Technical Consulting, and Director, Data Foundation Delivery.

Advisory and architecture

  • Advise CxO-level customers on data strategy and business cases; lead discovery, maturity assessments, and phased customer roadmaps.
  • Set target-state architecture across Salesforce Data 360, Informatica IDMC, and MuleSoft and integrate with customers’ existing multi-vendor environments.
  • Approve architecture decisions, validate them through scoped proofs of concept, deliver value in phases, and design foundations for analytics and agentic AI.
  • Govern architecture and quality across engagements; manage delivery risks, executive alignment, scope, and dependencies.
  • Embed security, privacy, and governance controls from the beginning.

AI delivery and thought leadership

  • Apply AI tools such as Claude Code, Gemini, Lucid AI, and NotebookLM across delivery to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Create reusable prompts, skills, agents, playbooks, accelerators, and reference assets; establish measurable AI targets and quality guardrails.
  • Shape the practice’s perspective on enterprise data, AI, and the agentic SaaS future through reference architectures, roadmaps, publications, and executive briefings.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to delivery teams and guide advisors, architects, and consultants.
  • Establish stewardship, RACI, and sustainable customer operating models; provide executive-ready engagement summaries.

Required experience

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience across data architecture, engineering, MDM, integration, and governance.
  • Demonstrated leadership of enterprise-scale data platform and AI-readiness programs.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of Salesforce Data 360, Informatica IDMC, or MuleSoft.
  • Authority-level data modeling and semantic or metadata modeling; strong data governance, quality, security, and privacy expertise.
  • Proven CxO-level advisory, multi-workstream delivery, and integration of vendor platforms into complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep fluency in AI-augmented delivery and building reusable prompt, skill, or agent assets; recognized thought leadership in enterprise data, AI, and SaaS.

MuleSoft platform requirements

  • Eight to ten years of experience supporting customers using MuleSoft is required, along with deep MuleSoft Anypoint Platform expertise.
  • Experience should cover API-led connectivity, integration patterns, API management, deployment options such as CloudHub and Runtime Fabric, and MuleSoft integration with Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integrations such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or ServiceNow and understanding when to engage technical specialists are listed.
  • MuleSoft RPA familiarity and multiple MuleSoft certifications are mentioned as additional qualifications.

Preferred qualifications and credentials

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred; equivalent demonstrable work experience may substitute.
  • Preferred strengths include agentic AI or RAG delivery, industry expertise in financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing, delivery IP, and enterprise professional-services leadership.
  • Certifications are preferred, not required; listed examples include Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, Data Architect, Agentforce Specialist, Integration Architect, and TOGAF.
  • Additional preferred certifications include Informatica IDMC or MDM, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, and DAMA CDMP or CDMC.
  • Other preferred qualifications include application design and development, Salesforce implementation experience, executive presence, Agile or Scrum knowledge, and CTA certification or progress toward it.

Compensation
