Role overview

Tech Graduate Software Engineer role in UBS Group Functions, Information Technology, based in Doha, Qatar.

Work with engineering teams serving Wealth Management, Personal and Corporate Banking.

The role offers work experience and development alongside engineers and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement software solutions based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Build and support enterprise applications with engineering teams.
  • Provide technology solutions to business problems and analyze requirements for relevant, seamless client solutions.
  • Take part in day-to-day tasks, code reviews, and analysis discussions.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related discipline; related-discipline students are also mentioned.
  • Engineering student completing the final year and expected to graduate in 2026; valid Qatar residency permit required.
  • Good communication, planning, and organizing skills; flexible, open-minded, cooperative, and proactive approach.
  • Interest in technology, data and analytics, IT, application development, and teamwork in an international agile environment.
  • Initial programming experience; listed examples include Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Python, and C#.
  • Experience with modern technologies, frameworks, and cloud services; examples include React, SpringBoot, PostgreSQL, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Interest in applying AI to workflows and ability to validate outputs in line with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.

Desirable technical exposure

  • Exposure to DevOps, Git/GitLab, unit tests/TDD, integration tests, deployment pipelines, or Kubernetes/Docker concepts is desirable.
