Investment Banking Analyst

Position

Key responsibilities

• Assist in originating and executing transactions for domestic and foreign corporate and private equity clients.
• Contribute to transaction workstreams, including diligence, financial projections and analyses, and client deliverables.
• Independently prepare, interpret, and discuss analytical data.
• Present effectively and confidently to internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues globally to provide seamless transaction execution.
• Generate ideas and creative approaches to move the business forward.
• Make sound, balanced judgments within professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards.

Skills and experience

• Experience in an investment banking role at a top-tier bank.
• Ability to work effectively with corporate and private equity clients.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant financial analyses.
• Demonstrated initiative and experience managing teams.
• Undergraduate degree.
• Outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, and commitment to investment banking.
• Interest in using AI to improve workflows, validating outputs, and aligning use with policies, risk standards, and ethical standards.

Salary

• Indicative gross base salary for Ontario, Canada: CAD 120,000 per annum.
• Expected salary depends on relevant experience, qualifications, education, location, and skill level; additional variable compensation or awards may be provided at the employer's discretion.
