Team Lead Software Engineer

Role overview

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5+ years of software development or computer programming experience, with strong Python and ReactJS expertise.
• 5+ years writing complex SQL queries and 2+ years of Team Lead experience.
• Strong testing skills, organization, time management, and written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-have experience

• ERP integration, ideally Acumatica; CRM integration, ideally Salesforce; FastAPI; Jenkins; Docker or Kubernetes; AWS; and YAML configuration.
• Zebra Enterprise Browser or ZPL, ARGO CD, and AI-assisted coding experience are also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead developers, prioritize JIRA work, refine the backlog, estimate tasks, and support release planning.
• Review code, uphold coding standards, document technical work, and support team development.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure applications across manufacturing, inventory, shipping, ERP, APIs, and web platforms.
• Resolve bottlenecks and defects, select changes for releases, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support integrations such as Salesforce and bring forward improvements to systems and processes.

Technology environment

• Current stack includes Python, ReactJS, MySQL, and Kubernetes on AWS.
• Architectural and monitoring support is shared with an external expert consultant.

Compensation

• Annual salary range is CAD 90,000–CAD 115,000, based on experience.
• Benefits include profit sharing, health and lifestyle spending accounts, insurance coverage, and RRSP matching up to 4% of annual salary.
