Role overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons that inspire students and support the best possible outcomes.
• Plan engaging curriculum-aligned lessons with fellow teachers and cater for the full ability range.
• Assess students, record development using Target Tracker and use assessment data to inform planning and intervention.
• Reflect on classroom provision and student progress, adapting the environment, planning and curriculum.
• Manage classes using approaches suited to student needs and build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Communicate student progress to parents and carers and meet other professionals when required.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with a PGCE or other teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.
• Previous experience with students whose first language is not English and recent, consistent extracurricular involvement are listed as job-specific knowledge and skills.
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check or police check is required.
