Tax Strategy Advisor

Qualifications

• The Tax Strategy Advisor position typically requires the following qualifications:
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited college or university (required)
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required
• Master’s in Taxation a plus
• CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification or Personal Financial Specialist (PFS TM ) credential (or currently pursuing)
• Experience
• 6+ years of experience in comprehensive tax and financial planning, including work with high-net-worth clients
• Client-facing experience in tax planning and advisory role
• Experience with tax planning software (BNA, Planner CS, Holistiplan)
• Familiarity with online and print tax research resources
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters UltraTax, GoFileRoom, and Practice CS a plus
• Skills
• Strong tax planning or business acumen, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Solid analytical and organizational capabilities
• Effective written communication and tax research skills
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Client-first mindset with a commitment to exceptional service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• We take a market-based approach to compensation. The expected base salary range for this role is $99,000 – 148,000 . Actual compensation is determined on an individual basis and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and market conditions. This role may also be eligible for additional incentive compensation based on responsibilities and performance.
