Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Officer – Oil & Gas is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities for technical, engineering, and corporate roles within the oil and gas sector.
The role focuses on sourcing and securing highly skilled professionals in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
The objective is to attract, assess, and hire top talent while building a strong pipeline to support ongoing and future projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with project teams, engineering departments, and hiring managers to identify manpower requirements for oil & gas projects.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technical roles such as engineers, project managers, rig staff, maintenance, and support functions.
- Source candidates through specialized platforms, databases, industry networks, and headhunting within the oil & gas sector.
- Screen CVs with a focus on technical qualifications, certifications, and relevant project experience (e.g., EPC, offshore/onshore projects).
- Conduct technical and competency-based interviews aligned with industry standards.
- Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders for candidate approvals, especially for project-based hiring.
- Ensure candidates meet compliance requirements including certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, H2S, BOSIET, API standards where applicable).
- Manage bulk hiring requirements for large-scale projects and mobilization activities.
- Negotiate compensation packages in line with market benchmarks and project budgets.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of oil & gas professionals across various disciplines and geographies.
- Support mobilization processes including documentation, medicals, visas, and deployment coordination.
- Represent the organization at industry events, job fairs, and networking platforms to promote employer branding.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of oil & gas operations (upstream, midstream, downstream).
- Knowledge of industry certifications and compliance requirements.
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly for project-based and international hires.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume or urgent project requirements.
- Proficiency in recruitment tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum
- 5 years of experience
- **GCC or international recruitment exposure**
- within the oil & gas sector is a strong advantage.
- Bachelors Degree.
