Job Summary

Costume Maintenance and Production

• Alter, repair, and fabricate costumes for show productions and craft pieces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to artistic standards.
• Participate in off-site or on-site public relations events involving costumes and performers, representing Farah Experiences professionally.

Daily Operations

• Assist with daily costume laundry, including washing, hanging, ironing, and steaming to maintain piece integrity.
• Support wig styling as needed, following appropriate training protocols to ensure consistency and quality.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process of costumes on a daily basis to ensure proper tracking and availability.
• Inventory and Collaboration
• Collaborate with the Costuming Assistant Manager and Costuming Operations Support Manager to maintain accurate and up-to-date costume inventories.
• Monitor supply levels and place timely orders for replacements to avoid production delays.
• Share expertise and best practices with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform any Costume Attendant duties as required to support overall departmental objectives.
• Adapt to additional tasks as requested by leadership to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Essential

• Higher secondary education or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of sewing background
• Proficiency in sewing and tailoring, including both hand and machine sewing
• Knowledge of cutting, fitting, and patternmaking
• Ability to operate industrial and home sewing machines, as well as home serger machines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Past experience working with performers

Desirable

• Associate degree or higher in theatre
• 5 years of sewing background
• 2 years of experience in theme parks, theatre productions, or cruise ships
• Background in costume repair and manufacturing
• Knowledge of theatrical show supplies
• Specialization in costume technology
• Theme park experience
