About the position

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure across hybrid environments; maintain and upgrade servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Develop automation for deployment, monitoring, and incident response; monitor system health with dashboards, alerts, and telemetry tools such as DataDog and Kibana.
• Conduct root cause analysis and postmortems for major incidents; collaborate with software engineering, cybersecurity, and product teams.
• Establish and refine SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets; ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection standards, and audit requirements.
• Document system configurations and procedures and create troubleshooting guides.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and 3–5 years of systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure experience.
• Senior-level enterprise server infrastructure experience, including highly available, 24-hour operational environments.
• Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, automation, enterprise security, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, storage, backup, monitoring, and certificate services.
• Strong knowledge of installing, configuring, monitoring, hardening, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell; experience with Azure or AWS and VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes, a deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices, and CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Azure/AWS, ITIL, or SRE-focused certifications are listed as examples; the description does not specify that they are required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
