Salon Manager

Position

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the salon team and oversee beauty and male grooming services.
• Monitor service quality, treatments, cleanliness, hygiene, staff presentation, product use, and health and safety; inspect salon areas and maintenance.
• Anticipate VIP and returning guest requests, maintain guest preference profiles, and conduct salon and spa tours on request.
• Ensure Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star standards and implement retail merchandising plans.
• Check guest accounts and payments; assist with revenue, payroll, and expenditure records, expense control, and revenue opportunities.
• Manage product inventory and purchase orders, improve health and safety, and take on other assigned duties.

Experience and qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Cosmetology, Hospitality, or Business Management.
• Minimum five years of salon or spa management experience; luxury resort or hotel experience is preferred and pre-opening experience is welcomed.
• Prior experience and training with Forbes Travel Guide standards is essential.
• Strong leadership, team development, communication, organizational, and guest service abilities.
• Proficiency in salon booking and POS systems, plus knowledge of salon products, treatments, and equipment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and public holidays for a 24-hour resort operation.

Operating environment

• The role oversees the resort's salon, including ladies' beauty areas and a gentlemen's grooming area.
