The Systems Configurator sets up, maintains, and adapts software, systems, and product rules to align with business needs.
The role is based in the organisation's Gloucester offices.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the build of new products within the Underwriting Collective, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Translate business requirements, underwriting guidelines, pricing models, and policy conditions into system configuration and workflows.
- Deliver product updates, rule changes, and major platform logic alterations following business change requests or regulatory shifts.
- Triage and resolve client support requests related to user access, document compilation errors, or unusual system anomalies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenge them where appropriate.
- Escalate issues to the Product Lead and document impacts and solution options.
- Work in compliance with and alignment with central change management processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Configuration Analyst or extensive experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
- Experience in a client-facing role, ideally within an IT delivery capacity.
- High proficiency in Excel, including formulas, lookups, and other functionality excluding VBA.
- Conceptual understanding of UI/UX design principles and a basic understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Knowledge and experience in digital teams, especially in insurance, financial services, or another regulated business environment.
- Fluent written and verbal communication, including presenting complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- A methodical approach to defining and resolving routine and complex issues.
