The role is in the System Support and Configuration Team within the Development Delivery and Support Division.
The team supports systems underpinning production of the UK's economic statistics.
The postholder works with configurable statistical production systems and contributes to modernisation and transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, configure, support, and maintain statistical production systems.
- Translate business and statistical requirements into system solutions with business, methods, analysis, architecture, and technical colleagues.
- Support system changes, investigate and resolve issues, undertake testing, and improve systems and processes.
- Collaborate on new systems and enhancements to existing services.
- Work within governance and configuration management processes and help maintain robust, efficient systems.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills are sought.
- Experience with a specific platform is not required.
Workplace and working pattern
- The role is aligned with hybrid working principles and requires contributing to 40% office attendance, subject to business and role requirements.
- Locations are Newport and Titchfield (Fareham); induction is conducted in person.
- Working patterns include flexible working, full-time, job share, part-time, and compressed hours.
Compensation
- Salary is £34,587, with an employer contribution of 28.97% to the Civil Service Pension.
