Business Systems Configurator within the System Support and Configuration Team, supporting business-critical systems that underpin UK economic statistics.
The role is in the Development Delivery and Support Division within the Surveys and Economic Statistics Group.
The team contributes to modernisation and transformation of the UK's statistical system.
Job responsibilities
- Develop, configure, support and maintain statistical production systems.
- Translate business and statistical requirements into effective system solutions, working between users, methodologists, analysts, architects and technical teams.
- Support system changes, investigate and resolve issues, undertake testing, and improve systems and processes.
- Collaborate with transformation teams, architects and technical specialists on new systems and enhancements.
- Support tactical and strategic changes within governance and configuration management processes, maintaining robust and fit-for-purpose systems.
Skills and experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and systems-thinking skills are sought.
- Applicants do not need previous experience with a specific platform.
Workplace and location
- The role is based at Newport or Titchfield (Fareham) and follows hybrid working principles.
- The postholder is expected to attend the office for 40% of working time, subject to business and role requirements.
- Induction is conducted in person.

- The listed salary is £34,587; no pay cadence is specified.
- The contract is permanent.
