Required technical skills
- Strong proficiency in Windows/Linux workload migration using the latest and N-2 VMware VCAF versions.
- Mastery of Active Directory setup and migration, FSMO, and AD GPO tools.
- CIS-based security hardening and vulnerability remediation capability.
- MSSQL clustering, database migration and troubleshooting, and connectivity with interfacing applications.
Main site activities
- Provision and configure application environments on compliant VMs using current OS versions and golden image templates.
- Provision VMs from the existing inventory, including Active Directory and production and development database cluster servers.
- Migrate Active Directory services, database services, and existing virtual appliances.
- Apply security hardening, remediate vulnerabilities, and hand over environments for customer application installation.
- Set up file and block storage, SIEM, PAM, and monitoring/logging services and integrations.
- Schedule and execute cutovers; support go-live and hypercare.
Cloud security and disaster recovery
- Support cloud security and network configuration; configure VMs and disaster recovery for VMs, Active Directory, and database clusters.
- Provision and configure DR application VMs, conduct DR drills and testing, and work with the DR runbook.
- Schedule and execute cutovers, apply security hardening, remediate vulnerabilities, and support go-live and hypercare.
Requirements
- Strong working proficiency in Windows/Linux workload migration using the latest and N-2 versions of VMware VCAF.
- Mastery of Active Directory setup and migration, FSMO, and AD GPO toolsets.
- Ability to perform CIS-based security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with MSSQL clustering, database migration and troubleshooting, and application database connectivity.
