System Analyst - ETL BODS
About This Role
Role Summary
Responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of ETL processes in a production environment. This role involves end‑to‑end ownership of ETL operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, release management, enhancements, and close collaboration with business, reporting, and database teams.
ETL (BODS) – Production Support, Development & Operations
- Provide L2/L3 support for SAP BODS ETL jobs, including monitoring daily batch executions, incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and SLA adherence.
- Manage ETL releases and deployments in Production, including scheduling, environment configuration, user access, and repository administration.
- Design, enhance, and optimize ETL jobs to improve performance, scalability, and data quality, while implementing validation, reconciliation, and audit controls.
- Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL workflows, long‑running jobs, and data discrepancies using in‑database processing, indexing, and parallel execution techniques.
Reporting (SAP BusinessObjects)
- Support SAP BO reports and universes dependent on ETL data.
- Analyze and resolve reporting issues related to data accuracy, refresh failures, and latency.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to ensure data consistency between ETL and BO layers.
Database & Data Management
- Work extensively with Oracle, SQL Server, or other RDBMS to write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and views.
- Perform data analysis and source‑to‑target reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Support performance tuning and ensure compliance with defined business rules and standards.
