The opening is for a System Administrator in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software in cloud and on-premises environments, including virtual environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and Tanzu across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Remediate information security findings and assist security teams with operating system hardening.
- Develop and apply automation to improve IT operational efficiency.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement and maintain system policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure system security and data backups; administer Office 365.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Experience troubleshooting server hardware and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
- MCSA, MCSE, and RHCE certifications are preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator certifications are a plus.
Contract Duration
- The description states a contract duration of 6 to 12 months.
