Our Doha office plays a central role in embedding **Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)** excellence into operations, ensuring resilience, compliance, and innovation across the GCC.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Sustainability & ESG Director** to lead enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives, oversee ESG compliance frameworks, and align strategies with organizational goals.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver robust ESG programs that protect people, assets, and the environment while driving long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- **Sustainability Strategy**: Define and implement sustainability frameworks across projects and operations.
- **ESG Governance**: Establish ESG policies, reporting standards, and compliance structures.
- **Risk Management**: Identify environmental and social risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- **Compliance Oversight**: Ensure adherence to GCC regulations, ISO standards, and global ESG frameworks.
- **Innovation Leadership**: Drive adoption of green technologies, renewable energy, and digital sustainability tools.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with executives, regulators, and communities to align ESG initiatives with business objectives.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Track KPIs, sustainability metrics, and compliance milestones.
- **Team Leadership**: Mentor ESG professionals and foster a culture of accountability and resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- 12+ years of sustainability/ESG experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of **ESG frameworks** and GCC regulatory environments.
- Expertise in sustainability reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and ISO certifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Experience in multinational or regional infrastructure or financial organizations preferred.
