Survey Manager - Immediate Joiner

Job Purpose

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

• **Survey Planning and Coordination**
• Plan, organize, and manage all survey activities across assigned projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements before survey execution.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks, grids, alignments, and levels as required.
• Coordinate survey schedules with project managers, engineers, consultants, and site teams.
• **Site Survey Execution**
• Oversee setting-out works, topographic surveys, level surveys, utility surveys, and as-built surveys.
• Ensure all survey measurements, coordinates, and levels are accurate and aligned with approved drawings.
• Verify site conditions and identify any discrepancies between drawings and actual site measurements.
• Provide timely survey data to support construction, engineering, planning, and project progress.
• **Team Supervision**
• Lead and supervise surveyors, assistant surveyors, CAD technicians, and subcontracted survey teams.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor survey team productivity and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to resolve survey-related challenges.
• Ensure that survey team members follow approved procedures and safety requirements.
• **Technical Review and Documentation**
• Review survey reports, calculations, drawings, records, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure proper recording, filing, and control of all survey data and documents.
• Maintain updated survey logs, benchmarks, control points, and measurement records.
• Support preparation of handover documents, progress reports, and technical submissions.
• **Quality, Safety, and Compliance**
• Ensure all survey work complies with project specifications, company standards, and authority requirements.
• Conduct quality checks to reduce errors, rework, and measurement discrepancies.
• Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and used correctly.
• Promote safe working practices during all field survey activities.

Education & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional surveying certification or membership is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of modern survey equipment, including Total Station and GPS/GNSS.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and survey data processing tools.

Experience And Skills

• Industry Experience (No. of years):
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in surveying within construction, infrastructure, utilities, real estate development, or facilities management projects.
• Position/functional experience (No. of years):
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial surveying role, with hands-on experience in site surveys, setting-out works, survey data review, as-built documentation, and managing survey teams.
