About This Role

  • **Technical Coordination & Execution**
  • Lead and coordinate technical project activities to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
  • Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee site activities to ensure alignment with approved designs, scope, and project timelines.
  • **Engineering Support & Problem Solving**
  • Provide expert technical guidance to site teams and promptly resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Conduct detailed technical evaluations and support design validation to ensure feasibility and constructability.
  • Proactively identify risks, constraints, and inefficiencies, and implement effective engineering solutions.
  • **Quality Assurance & Compliance**
  • Ensure all engineering works meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support QA/QC processes, inspections, and audits, and drive closure of non-conformities.
  • **Documentation & Reporting**
  • Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including reports, method statements, and logs.
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, timely, and structured reports to management and stakeholders.
  • **Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination**
  • Act as a key technical point of contact between consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Review and approve technical submissions, shop drawings, and material specifications.
  • Support procurement activities through technical evaluations and vendor assessments.
  • **Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)**
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and participate in inspections, risk assessments, and safety initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, efficiency, and project outcomes.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and implementation of best practices across projects.
  • **Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities:**
  • In addition to all job-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Basatin health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. All employees are personally responsible for familiarizing themselves with these policies, procedures, practices, updates, etc. Khidmah HSE department regularly updates existing and introduces new policies, procedures, and practices and each employee is personally responsible to ensure they stay updated and compliant with all such updates and new additions.
  • **Information Security responsibilities:**
  • Comply with Basatin Information Security Policies
  • Be aware of and fulfil their information security responsibilities
  • Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information has taken the Security Awareness Training
  • Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
  • Not Disable his/her OS firewall and/or Antivirus
  • Restrict use to authorized purposes, Protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.
  • Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
  • Relevant professional certifications or memberships are an advantage.
  • 3–5 years in engineering within construction, FM, or infrastructure.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering standards and industry practices.
  • 2–3 years in a technical/project engineering role, preferably in multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong technical expertise with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective stakeholder management with strong coordination and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and professional reporting abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering tools/software.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
