Position Title: Support Driver (CDL C)

Salary Range

  • $23.42-$28.64/Per Hour
  • Valley Vista Services is a family-owned & operated waste disposal company that has been serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding Los Angeles areas since 1957.
  • We are seeking a positive and motivated individual to join our Operations team to help us deliver friendly, exceptional service to both commercial and residential customers.
  • This is a full time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a company-issued Class C vehicle to assist with residential and commercial waste and recycling services
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle
  • Safely maneuver bins (which may weigh up to 1000 lbs) using manual force and hydraulic equipment
  • Retrieve, deliver, or position bins in designated areas, including navigating narrow or sloped pathways
  • Report route issues, blocked access, and customer concerns to Dispatch or Route Supervisor
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers
  • Follow route assignments and log completed tasks accurately and on time
  • Attend all required safety meetings and trainings
  • Support other departments as needed and help maintain a safe and positive work environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Prior experience in waste/recycling, transportation, or environmental services is a plus
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and maneuver containers over varied terrain
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), pushing/pulling heavy bins

Regular entry and exit from vehicle (up to 150 times daily)

Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, dust, and noise

Requires problem solving, strong coordination, and effective communication
