Role overview

Develop and maintain achievable supply and production plans across the network, aligning customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory, and service requirements.

The role supports customer service performance (OTIF), inventory and working capital optimization, operational risk reduction, and continuity of supply.

Responsibilities

  • Create short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans and balance demand with capacity, labour, and material constraints.
  • Manage planning exceptions such as shortages, excess inventory, capacity constraints, and service risks; maintain Master Production Schedules.
  • Monitor inventory, weeks of cover, and stock-at-risk; support component-shortage resolution and supply recovery.
  • Contribute scenario planning and risk assessment to Supply Reviews and S&OP; promote schedule adherence and improve OTIF.
  • Support product introductions, transitions, delistings, and lifecycle management; review aged, obsolete, blocked, and slow-moving stock.
  • Work across Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Transport Planning, and Commercial teams.
  • Improve planning master data, parameters, processes, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in relevant planning, logistics, or procurement roles.
  • Experience in supply planning, production planning, demand planning, supply chain planning, or related operations; manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Food ingredients, flavours, beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing experience is advantageous, not essential.
  • Understanding of S&OP, inventory management, and supply planning; ERP proficiency and strong Excel skills are required.
  • SAP is beneficial but not essential; SAP APO, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, or equivalent planning tools are advantageous.
  • Power BI or other data visualization familiarity is a plus.
  • Requires data interpretation, problem solving, stakeholder management, communication, prioritisation, proactive risk management, and attention to detail.

Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site role, five days per week.
  • Working hours are 08:00–16:30 or 09:00–17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Workplace

  • The advert specifies an on-site workplace arrangement.

Benefits

  • The available source text begins the benefits list with 25 days of annual leave, excluding bank holidays; the remainder of the description is truncated.
