Position details

Security and loss prevention

• Patrol hotel areas, help guests access rooms, and watch for unwanted persons on the property.
• Conduct emergency drills, daily safety and physical-hazard inspections, investigations, interviews, and key-control audits.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems; authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies, contact emergency services, and provide first aid or CPR when needed.
• Gather information and prepare reports while sharing confidential information only with authorized people.
• De-escalate disturbances, resolve security risks and complaints, and escort unwanted persons out of the hotel.
• Support compliance with alcohol-control laws and call for assistance using appropriate response codes.

Team and workplace duties

• Provide appropriate paperwork to employees and help management train, motivate, and coach employees.
• Follow company security procedures, report maintenance issues and safety incidents, and complete safety training.
• Protect company property and confidential information, support coworkers, and meet quality-assurance standards.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests professionally and carry out other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Recommended qualifications

• A secondary-school diploma or equivalent is recommended.
• At least two years of related work experience is recommended.
• At least one year of supervisory experience is recommended.
• No license or certification is listed.

Physical and communication demands

• The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking; moving at speed when responding; and navigating stairs, ramps, uneven or slippery surfaces, and confined or elevated spaces.
