Controls operational activities for drilling, workover, and well completion carried out by contractors and service companies on assigned rigs.
Directs proper implementation of operational programs.
Job-specific accountabilities
- Propose and execute amendments to approved programs when operational parameters change.
- Ensure rig-site and camp operations comply with contract provisions and HSE policies, rules, and regulations.
- Monitor company materials and equipment supply for economic and cost-effective utilization.
- Prepare a morning report summarizing the previous 24 hours of rig activities and related costs.
- Oversee drilling, workover, well completion, and related contractor or service-company operations.
- Monitor technical services including wireline logging, fishing, tubing and completion work, acidizing, cementing, directional drilling, production testing, sampling, and coring.
- Supervise rig materials and equipment supply activities.
- Participate in rig mobilization and demonstrations, well-location handover, site preparation, rig moves, and safe well-site readiness.
Minimum qualifications and experience
- A diploma in Engineering is required.
- At least 5 years of experience is required.
Additional information
Budget and direct and indirect reporting arrangements are according to the approved financial budget and organization chart.
Professional certifications are applicable as required.
