Plan and supervise maintenance activities for plant Instrument and Control systems, coordinating with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning.
Maintenance planning and execution
- Support equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine surveillance, and start-up activities with operations and maintenance teams.
- Provide field technical support for critical maintenance activities to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
- Assess and arrange manpower for daily preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance plans.
- Assess workload, backlog, and work plans; coordinate sections and resources to complete agreed work.
- Monitor materials, spares, consumables, and tools to ensure continuous availability and appropriate quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and unscheduled shutdowns and recommend solutions to improve reliability and availability.
- Contribute to planning major maintenance, upgrades, and obsolescence issues within five-year rolling business plans.
- Support development, implementation, and commissioning of projects, ensuring design and specifications optimize cost and meet applicable standards.
- Define technical requirements, evaluate bids, inspect received materials, and monitor contractor performance and work quality.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Six years of Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance experience in a large industrial organization.
- Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
