We are currently recruiting a
Supervisor - Commercial Lines Claims
for to our client based in Dubai, UAE.
Job Summary
The Supervisor - Commercial Lines Claims is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a team of Officers and Senior Officers to ensure smooth, efficient, and high quality claims operations.
The role ensures timely service delivery, optimal claims cost control, and adherence to company's claims philosophy while protecting and elevating the company’s image and interests.
1. Strategic Responsibilities
- Provide professional support to the Assistant Manager (Commercial Lines Claims - Dubai) in day to day claims handling.
- Contribute to developing and implementing long‑term strategies and objectives aligned with the Claims Department’s goals.
- Assist in formulating and documenting medium- and short‑term operational plans for the department.
Policies, Processes & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a controlled and consistent operational environment.
Claims Management
- Supervise end‑to‑end claims operations for Engineering, Liability, and Marine Lines, ensuring efficiency, reduced cycle time, and timely customer service.
- Manage team performance using KPIs related to claims quality, productivity, and service levels.
- Ensure claims settlements comply with policy terms, authority matrices, and legal considerations.
- Oversee establishment, review, and accuracy of claim reserves as per approved procedures.
- Seek guidance from Senior Manager regarding appointment and oversight of loss adjusters.
- Ensure timely follow-up of cash calls from reinsurers and receipt of funds.
- Supervise salvage disposal and third‑party recoveries, ensuring maximized financial outcomes.
Customer Satisfaction
- Maintain high customer service standards, address claim-related queries promptly, and contribute to improved customer satisfaction levels.
Claim Rejections & Investigations
- Review and refer invalid claims to the Senior Manager/EVP as per authority matrix.
- Identify suspicious claims for audit and support investigations.
- Provide technically sound justifications for claim rejections.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely operational reports to management in compliance with department schedules.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Insurance certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant commercial lines claims experience within a UAE based insurance company is required.
- Relevant experience in managing a Team
- Full professional proficiency in English and strong communication skills
