This is a learning-support role supporting pupils with additional educational needs across the secondary school.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support in and out of the classroom, adapting resources and assisting with differentiated instruction.
- Help foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where learners can thrive.
- Assist the Head of Inclusion in developing and delivering suitable support programmes in the classroom and one-to-one.
- Contribute with the Head of Inclusion and teaching staff to planning, implementing, and reviewing personalised support programmes.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide effective, consistent support tailored to students’ learning needs.
Candidate requirements
- Fluency in English is required.
- The successful candidate should be compassionate, patient, and proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Candidates should demonstrate a genuine commitment to inclusive education and be able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Desirable qualifications
- Fluency in an additional language is advantageous.
- School-environment experience is desirable, as is degree-level education.
