Student Inclusion Officer (International)

We are seeking to appoint a Student Inclusion Officer with a strong commitment to improving international student experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join the International Student Success team and get involved in a range of activities. International Student Success is a team within Student Recruitment, Admissions and Success (in Education and Student Success) and includes two elements:

The Global Lounge – a team celebrating all cultures, building communities, and inspiring social exchange, with a welcoming, multi-purpose space in Senate House

International student experience focus – led by the Assistant Director for International Student Success, working closely with the Student Inclusion Officer (International)

You will work closely with the Assistant Director for International Student Success and the Head of Global Lounge, focusing on identifying any barriers to good international student experience at Bristol and coming up with solutions to removing those barriers. You will liaise with colleagues across the university, both within central teams and in schools, to connect activities and disseminate information relevant to international student experience. You will be working with a range of data regarding international students and be highly involved in the running of the International Student Barometer (ISB) survey. You will be expected to take initiative and be able to work independently.

You are a strong relationship builder, with experience working with colleagues in different teams.

You have a positive and solutions-focused approach and are confident in influencing and advising a wide range of staff on inclusive practice.

You have experience working with data – able to interpret it and use it to shape future interventions and improvements.
