Canadian University Dubai, CUD, is seeking a detail oriented and service focused **Student Accounts Officer** to join the Students Account Department.
The successful candidate will support the daily collection of student related and general income payments, provide accurate financial information to students and stakeholders, and ensure that all financial transactions are processed in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
- The successful candidate should demonstrate strong numerical accuracy, sound bookkeeping knowledge, and the ability to review student ledgers, calculate applicable fees, and apply approved discounts and scholarships in accordance with university policies.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel is required. Experience working in a university environment is considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of one year of practical experience in cashiering, teller services, student accounts, accounts receivable, or a related financial services role.
- Experience handling payments through cash, credit card, point of sale systems, bank transfers, and cheques is preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have experience providing high quality customer service in a busy, student facing environment, with the ability to remain accurate, professional, and composed during peak periods.
Key Areas Of Work
- The role will support student account operations across the following key areas:
- Student and general payment collections, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Student ledger review, fee calculation, and application of eligible discounts, scholarships, and other approved financial adjustments.
- Customer service and stakeholder support, providing clear, accurate, and timely information to students, parents, guardians, staff, and relevant departments.
- Payment follow up and recovery support, including assisting the Accounts Receivable department with student follow ups on outstanding payments when required.
- Billing, quotations, tax invoices, refunds, and clearance support for student withdrawals and graduations.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a positive and professional student experience by maintaining strong communication, accuracy, confidentiality, and responsiveness.
The role requires the ability to understand and apply university rules, scholarship requirements, fees, and other financial implications while supporting students and internal stakeholders with care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect student and general payments accurately through approved payment channels.
- Provide precise and timely financial information to students, parents, guardians, staff, and relevant stakeholders.
- Review student ledgers, calculate applicable fees, and apply approved discounts and scholarships accurately.
- Support payment plan arrangements and liaise with students regarding payment recovery.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate billing, refund processing, and student account updates.
- Assist the Accounts Receivable department with student follow ups on due payments as required.
- Prepare quotations and tax invoices when needed.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to provide financial clearance for student withdrawals and graduations.
- Support eligible students during the add and drop period by completing required course related financial processes.
- Apply university scholarship requirements, fee structures, and financial policies consistently and accurately.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and guardians.
- Provide feedback and insights to management regarding student account matters, service issues, and process improvements.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the department, students, and the wider university community.
