Seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Inspector for a stadium project, specializing in structural assessments.
The description also refers to the role as a Bridge Inspector and focuses on bridges and related infrastructure.
Your Role
- Conduct routine and specialized bridge and structural inspections to assess integrity and safety.
- Use visual assessments, non-destructive testing, and instrumentation to evaluate bridge components.
- Document deterioration, damage, and potential hazards; prepare reports on condition, severity, and recommended repairs or maintenance.
- Analyze inspection data with engineering teams and develop repair and maintenance plans.
- Keep current with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Guide junior inspectors or engineering staff and coordinate inspection activities with project stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients, regulators, and other relevant parties.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- 8–12 years of similar experience in bridge inspection and structural assessment.
- In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including AASHTO, ASCE, and FHWA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency using inspection tools, software, and equipment; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- A master's degree is a plus; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
