Experienced Structural Engineer role focused on steel bridge design, construction, inspection, and rehabilitation projects.
Oversee structural engineering activities and support compliance with project specifications, international standards, safety requirements, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Review and verify bridge designs, calculations, and shop drawings; review fabrication and erection methodologies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams; monitor construction compliance and quality.
- Inspect and assess bridges, evaluate structural integrity, and recommend repair, strengthening, or rehabilitation solutions.
- Provide technical support through planning, execution, and commissioning; prepare reports, submissions, method statements, and project documentation.
- Represent the engineering team in project meetings; support value engineering, claims, variations, and technical clarifications.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with construction teams to resolve engineering issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- At least 8 years of Structural Engineer experience, including significant steel bridge project experience.
- Proven steel bridge design, construction, inspection, or rehabilitation experience; strong knowledge of steel structures, bridge engineering, and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with international bridge codes and standards; proficiency in structural engineering software and design tools.
- Experience reviewing fabrication drawings and steel bridge erection procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage projects and work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
