Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Structural Design Engineer role based in Dubai.
The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for developing safe, efficient structural designs for buildings and other structures, from concept through detailed design and construction documentation.
Daily tasks include performing structural analysis and calculations using structural design software such as Etabs, Safe, Stad pro, prokon and other design analysis programs as well as preparing and reviewing CAD and AutoCAD drawings, coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders.
The role also involves reviewing shop drawings, supporting site teams with technical clarifications, participating in design reviews and value engineering, and preparing design reports and documentation.
The Structural Design Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers to meet project timelines, quality benchmarks, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis, including load calculations, modeling, and verification of structural safety and serviceability.
- Wide experience and creativity in using structural design software and finding structural design solutions to design high rise buildings up to 50 stories.
- Candidate must be holding Dubai Municipality approval for unlimited floors buildings structyral design for at least 10 years.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) like AutoCAD and Revit for preparing, reviewing, and updating structural drawings and details.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with relevant international and regional building codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS/EN, local authority requirements).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to clearly present design intent and technical information.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
- Prior consultancy or design office experience in the Gulf region and knowledge of local construction practices are advantageous.
