Structural CAD Draftsman

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Prepare structural shop, fabrication, general arrangement, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop steel drawings for beams, columns, connections, bracing, and other project components.
• Prepare reinforcement and concrete drawings where required.
• Review architectural and structural drawings, identify discrepancies, and coordinate revisions.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions and approved modifications.
• Revise drawings following engineers’ comments, consultant feedback, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, production teams, and site personnel.
• Ensure drawings meet project specifications, applicable standards, and company quality requirements.
• Maintain documentation, drawing registers, and revision control; meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Requirements and qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Structural CAD Draftsman.
• AutoCAD proficiency is essential; experience preparing structural shop and fabrication drawings is required.
• Ability to interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
• Structural steel detailing, connections, and construction practices are an advantage.
• Tekla Structures or other structural detailing software familiarity is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, coordination, and time-management skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Relevant UAE construction or structural steel experience is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is AED 3,500–5,500 per month.
