Key responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for industrial buildings, warehouses, sheds, platforms, and other steel structures.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, and engineering drawings; ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, project managers, and fabrication teams; review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and connection details.
- Provide technical support to estimation, detailing, production, and site installation teams; resolve design and technical issues during fabrication and installation.
- Ensure structural stability, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness; review material specifications, connection designs, and fabrication requirements.
- Manage project schedules and timely completion of engineering deliverables.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
- At least 15 years of relevant structural steel design and engineering experience.
- Strong experience in structural steel fabrication projects, industrial buildings, and steel structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and structural steel detailing software such as Tekla Structures is an advantage.
- Good understanding of international design codes, connection design, and steel fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications; strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- UAE experience is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 15,000–18,000 per month.
