Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Strategic Sourcing Manager at ML Nashik.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop and implement sourcing strategies to support the organization’s technology, services, and operational needs, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability.
Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying suppliers, conducting supplier evaluations, leading contract negotiations, and managing procurement processes from requirement definition through award.
The role also involves driving supplier development initiatives, monitoring supplier performance, mitigating supply risks, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders (such as operations, finance, and technical teams) to align sourcing decisions with organizational goals.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will maintain accurate sourcing documentation, analyze spend data, and continuously look for opportunities to optimize the supplier base and total cost of ownership.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Management, including assessing capabilities, performance, risk, and alignment with organizational needs.
- Proficiency in Procurement and Supplier Development, with experience in sourcing processes, RFx activities, onboarding, and continuous improvement of supplier capabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in Contract Negotiation, including pricing, terms and conditions, service levels, and long-term strategic agreements.
- Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies, cost analysis, and total cost of ownership concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment with clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement or ERP tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in technology, software, or engineering-focused organizations is beneficial; familiarity with machine learning or AI ecosystems is a plus.
