Storekeeper role in a construction / building-materials setting, supporting store and warehouse operations.
The employer seeks experience in building-materials stores or construction warehouses.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily store and warehouse activities.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming construction materials.
- Maintain inventory and stock records; issue materials to project sites against approved requests.
- Prepare and maintain GRNs, material issue vouchers, and stock reports.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with procurement.
- Conduct physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and arrangement of materials.
- Coordinate with site, procurement, and accounts teams; document material transactions.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of Storekeeper experience in a construction company, building-materials store, or warehouse.
- Good knowledge of building materials and construction-related items.
- Experience in inventory control and warehouse management.
- Knowledge of GRN and material receiving and issuing procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Excel.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
- UAE experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- A diploma or relevant qualification in Storekeeping, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
