Job Summary
The Storekeeper will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the inventory and supplies in the store or warehouse.
This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and managing stock.
The Storekeeper will also be responsible for ensuring the proper storage and safety of products, managing stock levels, and keeping accurate records.
Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods and supplies.
Ensure products are properly stored and organized.
Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate stock records and reports.
Stock Issuance
Issue stock to departments or individuals as per requests.
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Process and prepare orders for dispatch.
Warehouse Maintenance
Keep the storage area clean, organized, and safe.
Ensure all stock is labeled correctly and stored in a manner that prevents damage.
Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).
Record Keeping
Maintain records of all stock movements, including receipts and issues.
Use inventory management systems to track and update stock levels.
Communication and Coordination:
Work closely with purchasing, production, and sales teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
Report any issues with stock or deliveries to management.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor equipment and storage facilities to prevent theft, damage, or safety hazards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in logistics or inventory management is a plus).
Prior experience in warehouse, storekeeping, or inventory management.
Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: Up to AED2,500.00 per month
