Role overview

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate daily stewarding duties; conduct briefings and coach colleagues.
• Monitor attendance, grooming, performance, and productivity, and lead by example during busy periods.
• Maintain kitchen and back-of-house cleanliness, organisation, sanitation, hygiene, and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure service equipment and tableware are ready and cleaning chemicals and equipment are used correctly.
• Report maintenance, safety, and operational issues promptly.
• Coordinate with Culinary, F&B, Engineering, and other departments; support opening, service, closing, events, and high-volume operations.
• Manage waste, breakage, and supplies responsibly and ensure effective shift handovers.

Experience and skills

• Two to three years of hotel stewarding or similar hospitality experience.
• Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor, Senior Steward, or Team Leader.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, dishwashing, food safety, HACCP, and back-of-house operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; hands-on, organised, and detail-oriented.

Preferred qualifications and experience

• Hospitality or related qualification is preferred; food safety/hygiene certification is an advantage.
• Luxury/upscale hotel or residential hospitality experience is preferred; GCC/Dubai experience is an advantage.
