Steel engineer

• Prepare and review structural steel shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details.
• Coordinate with design consultants, project managers, site engineers, and production teams.
• Review structural drawings, specifications, dimensions, and material requirements.
• Coordinate steel fabrication activities, including cutting, welding, drilling, and assembly.
• Monitor site installation of steel structures, staircases, handrails, canopies, and other steel works.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), quantity calculations, and bills of quantities (BOQ).
• Coordinate with the estimation and procurement teams for material requirements and quotations.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, check measurements, and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, material submittals, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication and installation.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding, and connection details.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Tekla Structures is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• UAE experience in steel contracting or fabrication is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence
