Role overview

The Senior Product Manager owns strategy, execution, and performance for DIRTT’s product portfolio, ensuring clear product direction and alignment with business priorities.

The role translates market insights and Voice of Customer into product solutions and roadmaps, and guides delivery through NPI and ongoing product improvement.

The position works across Engineering, Design, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Marketing, balancing customer desirability, technical feasibility, and business viability.

Strategy and portfolio

  • Own and evolve product vision and strategy in line with business objectives and market direction.
  • Balance investment in innovation, platform sustainability, and product lifecycle needs; act as the category’s primary product accountability point.
  • Develop and maintain category roadmaps with achievable priorities, sequencing, and dependencies, aligned to capacity, commercial needs, and customer value.
  • Coordinate related product areas for cohesive system-level outcomes and establish practices for discovery, requirements, backlog quality, and release readiness.

Execution, insight, and lifecycle

  • Guide products through NPI phase gates and the product lifecycle with Engineering, Design, Quality, and Operations.
  • Align scope, priorities, and tradeoffs; address risks and delivery challenges and escalate product decisions when needed.
  • Oversee NPI activities and ensure releases are defined, sequenced, and delivered with quality and predictability.
  • Apply customer feedback, usage data, market insights, industry trends, and competitor information to product decisions.
  • Define product metrics, manage delivery, quality, and market-fit risks, and lead End-of-Life planning with the EoL council.
  • Own Management of Change initiatives within the product line and communicate product direction to internal teams and external partners.
  • Support Sales and Marketing with product education and enablement.

Experience and qualifications

  • Bring 3–7 years of successful experience developing and launching commercial physical products.
  • Have product management experience within complex building systems.
  • Have a degree in Business or Design Engineering, or an MBA transition.
  • Understand pricing strategies, market positioning, and financial modeling, including ROI and margins.
  • Be competent managing cross-functional launch plans involving Design, Sales, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Own or have experience owning a standalone product or major product variant.
  • Translate customer discovery and market gaps into high-level product requirements and multi-quarter roadmaps.
  • Bring strong roadmap, prioritization, cross-functional leadership, communication, analytical, pragmatic, and customer-focused skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary and variable bonus program.
  • On-site cafeteria and eligibility for the Employee Share Purchase Plan.
  • Employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefits; disability, life, critical illness, and AD&D insurance.
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program and supportive onboarding.

Hiring information

  • DIRTT describes its workplace as inclusive, equitable, and accessible and offers reasonable accommodation during recruitment.
  • Roles are safety sensitive; pre-employment testing may be required, and employment may be conditional on a background check where permitted by law.
