Role overview

PagerDuty seeks a senior Product and Design Operations Manager as a strategic partner to Product and Design leadership.

The role builds operating practices for planning, prioritization, releases, customer feedback, and continuous improvement.

The position is hybrid and expected to work from the Toronto office two days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead Product and Design enablement for the Product Development AI Transformation initiative, including custom Claude skills and AI best-practice workflows.
  • Establish planning discipline with clear scope, requirements, success metrics, and prioritization data.
  • Coordinate repeatable launch readiness for significant customer-facing changes across Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Support, Legal, and Customer Success.
  • Partner with Finance on classification criteria and documentation for capitalizable R&D work.
  • Build a closed-loop product feedback process with Customer Success, including customer needs, responses, and updates.
  • Automate planning cadence, design sprints, workshops, and office hours; oversee vendors, tooling budgets, and administration.
  • Enable research operations through agentic workflows and reusable insights; track effectiveness KPIs.
  • Develop team onboarding and partner with leaders on operational vision, priorities, and improvements.
  • Foster collaboration through team-building and cross-functional partnerships.

Basic qualifications

  • 5+ years in Product Operations, Design Operations, Business Operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience establishing product-organization planning and prioritization processes.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional launches or releases involving Engineering, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; experience building processes that run without their author.
  • Experience maintaining operational documentation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives across teams the candidate does not own.
  • Experience building agentic AI workflows with Claude or similar tools.

Preferred qualifications

  • Finance partnership on software capitalization, cost classification, or R&D accounting.
  • Customer feedback or request-intake systems with closed-loop customer notifications.
  • Enterprise software experience, ideally B2B SaaS.
  • Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and UX research methods.
  • Onboarding program development, measurable process improvements and KPIs, or change management experience.

Compensation

  • Base salary range is CAD 137,000–187,000; the role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and benefits.

Benefits

  • Potential offerings include benefits, flexible arrangements, equity, an employee stock purchase plan, retirement or pension plans, paid leave, wellness programs, and volunteer time; eligibility varies.

Workplace and location eligibility

  • Hybrid position with two expected days per week in the Toronto office.
  • Candidates must reside in an eligible location; the description lists geographic restrictions in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
