Sr. Manager, Program Management

Position summary

Program and team leadership

• Lead and mentor a small team of program performance and process improvement professionals.
• Manage assigned capability programs through their full lifecycle and within prescribed timelines and budgets.
• Maintain program scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project focus while managing customer and executive expectations.
• Coach project teams on goals, milestones, roles, scope, risks, and tracking routines.

Performance and process improvement

• Define performance frameworks for schedule acceleration, quality improvement, cost control, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain integrated dashboards, KPIs, and leading indicators and report progress to senior leadership.
• Lead regular performance reviews, identify variances and root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Study operational needs and performance; map workflows and remove bottlenecks using methods such as Lean Six Sigma or Agile.
• Challenge baselines and recommend data-driven changes to reduce time out of service and project delivery costs.

Data, forecasting, and AI tools

• Use approved AI tools to analyze program data, test indicators, model scenarios, identify risks, and streamline reporting.
• Consolidate status inputs across workstreams and formats, and validate AI-generated outputs against source data.
• Build schedule, cost, and resourcing forecasts and scenario models; document assumptions so results can be challenged and reproduced.

Collaboration and scope

• Partners with Program and Project Managers and teams across technical, supply chain, finance, design, Mission Control, Transformation Office, IT, product development, and operations.
• Maintains relationships with Director-, Vice President-, and Company Officer-level stakeholders.
• Works within an existing process framework while challenging practices, strengthening execution discipline, and supporting accountability and continuous improvement.
