Role overview

Responsibilities

• Integrate supplemental-benefit data across vendors and systems and manage inputs used in pricing and forecasting.
• Monitor emerging experience and produce monthly Actual-to-Expected reporting, variance analysis, and trend reporting.
• Lead process improvement and automation to improve reporting efficiency and data quality and reduce operational risk.
• Develop and maintain database, reporting-tool, and dashboard solutions for scalable analytics and business decisions.
• Influence department strategy and determine technical approaches for complex project components; work independently with considerable latitude.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of technical experience with database programs, reporting tools, and/or summary dashboards.
• Experience compiling, modeling, interpreting, and analyzing data to identify and explain variances and trends.
• Ability to explain trends and variances, enhance modeling techniques, and evaluate complex issues.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Financial or actuarial background is preferred.
• Project Management Certification is preferred.

Workplace and travel

• This is a remote position; occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.
• Home work setup requires internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload and a dedicated space protecting member information.

Schedule

• Scheduled weekly hours are 40.

Compensation

• Posted base-pay range is $89,000–$121,400 per year; individual pay may vary with location and job-related qualifications.
• The role is eligible for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.
