Role overview
Define and lead enterprise data architecture so data is trusted, governed, integrated, and available for analytics, business intelligence, and AI.
Key responsibilities
- Design target enterprise architecture, including data platforms, models, and integration patterns across lakehouse and data warehouse environments.
- Establish data standards, master data management practices, metadata frameworks, and data quality rules.
- Align architecture with SAP, OT historian systems, and cloud data sources.
- Work with governance and cybersecurity teams on data classification, retention, and access control.
- Review solution designs, guide data engineering teams, and support scalable, secure data platforms for analytics and AI.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or data engineering.
- Azure Data Engineer or Microsoft Fabric certification required; TOGAF or CDMP preferred.
- Strong enterprise data modeling, integration, and architecture knowledge.
- Hands-on Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Microsoft Purview, SQL, and SAP data experience.
- Oil & Gas data environments, including PI System/OT historian and ERP data, are preferred.
- Strong analytical, architectural design, and stakeholder management skills.
