Full Job Posting

Role overview

The AI Solution Architect defines end-to-end architecture for internal enterprise AI solutions, combining hands-on solution architecture, platform thinking, and technical leadership.

The role establishes technical vision, architecture principles, and reusable patterns across LLMs, RAG, multi-agent systems, and orchestration frameworks.

Solutions must be secure, scalable, cost-aware, production-ready, and aligned with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data, risk, and compliance standards.

Product and architecture responsibilities

  • Maintain the Product Group technical vision, architecture roadmap, principles, and constraints; design generative AI solutions from concept through production.
  • Set architecture strategy and standards, analyze business requirements, recommend solutions, and establish coherent boundaries and integration contracts across product teams.
  • Lead detailed designs and sign-off, translate product strategy into technical roadmaps, and advise on dependencies, risks, opportunities, and investment trade-offs.
  • Conduct implementation reviews and define security, privacy, reliability, scalability, performance, interoperability, maintainability, auditability, and cost requirements.
  • Evaluate architecture options, resolve cross-team architecture issues, and lead integration with enterprise platforms, shared services, and other Product Groups.

Risk, collaboration, and prototyping

  • Ensure products comply with architecture and design standards; assess technical risks, protect security and availability, and escalate non-standard high-risk activity.
  • Monitor emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements; identify gaps in architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns.
  • Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and reference implementations; work with engineers to test retrieval, integration, agent behavior, and platform capabilities.
  • Use code, configuration, and experiments to assess feasibility, security, performance, and cost; codify reusable patterns and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and help resolve complex solution, platform, data, and integration issues.

Experience and education

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and a demonstrated record leading architecture for high-risk, high-complexity, or strategically important solutions.
  • Significant AI or machine learning solution experience, including recent hands-on generative and agentic AI work.
  • Experience taking AI solutions from proof of concept to secure, scalable, supportable production and developing prototypes or reference implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, vector and hybrid search, grounding, agent architectures, tool integration, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, event-driven integration, distributed systems, and modern software architecture.
  • Understanding of semantic and context architectures, data governance, privacy, security, access controls, AI evaluation, benchmarking, observability, responsible AI, and monitoring.
  • Experience incorporating human review, approval, escalation, and fallback mechanisms into AI-enabled workflows.
  • Seasoned individual contributor with expert generative AI knowledge, broad architecture expertise, exceptional collaboration and communication skills, and ability to work autonomously on complex projects.

Preferred experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Copilot extensibility, or comparable enterprise agent platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with multiple commercial and open-source model ecosystems, production agentic or multi-agent systems, or enterprise AI platforms such as Azure AI or Google Cloud AI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of knowledge graphs, semantic models, or enterprise context architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, modern DevOps, AI red teaming, adversarial testing, or AI security architecture is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to enterprise AI strategy, operating models, or architecture practices and relevant cloud or architecture certifications is a plus.

Compensation

  • The posted pay range is $115,600–$163,200 CAD; the role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium that is reassessed annually.
  • The posting does not specify the pay cadence.

Work location and hours

  • Work location is listed as Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
  • The stated work hours are 37.5; the posting does not specify an onsite, hybrid, or remote arrangement.
