Support procurement process, strategy, and practice excellence to achieve procurement objectives.
Core responsibilities
- Implement strategic initiatives to improve procurement effectiveness and efficiency.
- Optimize end-to-end processes for purchase requisitions and contract management and recommend workflow enhancements.
- Update procurement user guides, manuals, and scopes of work for completeness and consistency.
- Use procurement technology to streamline processes, increase visibility, and minimize discrepancies.
- Assess procurement risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Research and benchmark procurement best practices to improve processes.
- Track supplier performance and address problems and concerns.
- Register and prequalify contractors and suppliers not already qualified in the Commercial Directory.
- Maintain the database of qualified contractors and suppliers in the Commercial Directory.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- High proficiency in English; working knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.
- At least 4–6 years of experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations and industry standards.
- Strategic perspective, negotiation and relationship management, analytical and research skills, cultural adaptability, and strong collaboration skills.
- Exceptional leadership skills, including a track record of developing high-performance teams.
- Track record of solving complex problems, designing creative strategies, and delivering significant impact.
