Oversee the organization’s procurement operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality purchasing of materials, equipment, and services.
Lead a team of buyers, coordinate with internal departments, and manage supplier relationships.
Team and procurement operations
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the purchasing team; assign tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct training.
- Manage sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order management across the full procurement cycle.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and budget requirements.
- Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements; analyze purchasing data for cost savings.
Supplier and internal coordination
- Develop supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and conduct periodic reviews.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements to optimize value.
- Coordinate procurement workflows with finance, operations, logistics, and inventory teams.
- Support project teams with timely sourcing of materials and services.
Reporting and compliance
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
- Maintain procurement transaction and contract records and support audit and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain management or business administration.
- 5–7 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management.
Skills and languages
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- English proficiency required; Arabic preferred.
