Position Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Neurologist to join our healthcare team in Sharjah.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles.

The Specialist Neurologist will provide comprehensive neurological care in both outpatient and inpatient settings while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of neurological disorders, including:
  • Stroke and cerebrovascular diseases
  • Epilepsy and seizure disorders
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Multiple sclerosis and demyelinating diseases
  • Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Peripheral neuropathies
  • Dementia and cognitive disorders
  • Sleep-related neurological conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations and assessments.
  • Interpret and evaluate diagnostic investigations, including MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and laboratory findings.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Provide inpatient consultations and manage hospitalized neurological patients.
  • Participate in acute stroke management and emergency neurological consultations.
  • Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Rehabilitation Medicine, and other specialties.
  • Educate patients and families regarding neurological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support continuing medical education and contribute to departmental development activities.

Qualifications & Requirementseducation

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a recognized Residency Program in Neurology.
  • Specialist qualification in Neurology from a recognized medical board.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization clinical experience as a Neurologist.
  • Experience in managing both inpatient and outpatient neurological cases.
  • Experience in stroke care and neurophysiology is highly desirable.

Licensing

  • Valid DHA License or Eligibility as a Specialist Neurologist.
  • International board certification is an advantage.

  • Strong clinical expertise in Neurology.
  • Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and patient counseling abilities.
  • Commitment to quality care, patient safety, and continuous professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellowship training in Stroke Medicine, Epilepsy, Neurophysiology, Movement Disorders, or Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Experience working in an accredited hospital or specialty center.
  • Participation in research, publications, or academic activities is an advantage.
