The Specialist, Leasing Cornish Centre will manage leasing activities for the Cornish Centre portfolio, driving occupancy, revenue growth and strong tenant relationships.
The role is responsible for delivering end-to-end leasing processes including marketing, negotiations, lease administration, tenant onboarding and retention initiatives.
The post-holder will work closely with the Commercial Leasing Manager, asset management, marketing, operations and legal to ensure leases are secured in line with company targets and compliant with policies and regulations.
Azad Properties is looking for a commercial leasing professional to join our Cornish Centre team.
Reporting to the Commercial Leasing Manager, the successful candidate will focus on achieving occupancy and income targets while providing an excellent tenant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to achieve occupancy, rental and tenant-mix targets for Cornish Centre.
- Identify and proactively source potential tenants through market research, prospecting, broker relationships and networking.
- Prepare and manage marketing collateral, leasing proposals and pitch materials in coordination with the marketing team.
- Conduct site tours, present commercial terms to prospects and negotiate lease agreements to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Prepare lease documentation, term sheets and letters of intent and coordinate with legal to finalise contracts.
- Manage the end-to-end lease administration process including lease commencement, rent schedules, deposits, fit-out approvals and handover to operations.
- Ensure timely collection of rents and recoveries in coordination with the credit and finance teams, and follow up on arrears in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain accurate leasing records, pipeline reports and CRM data to support forecasting and management reporting.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and tenant demand to inform leasing strategy and pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with asset management and operations to ensure tenant fit-out works meet standards, health & safety requirements and are delivered on time.
- Develop and implement tenant retention programmes, including lease renewals, tenancy reviews and value-add initiatives to reduce churn.
- Coordinate with property management on service levels, tenant queries and day-to-day operational issues affecting occupancy and tenant satisfaction.
- Support tendering and procurement for leasing-related suppliers and service providers as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, lease terms and relevant local regulations throughout the leasing lifecycle.
- Prepare regular leasing reports and dashboards covering occupancy, lease expiries, pipeline, vacancy and income performance.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and broker meetings to build networks and promote the Cornish Centre.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Property Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in retail or commercial leasing, ideally within shopping centres, mixed-use or multi-site retail environments.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding occupancy and rental targets.
- Knowledge of lease structures, commercial terms, rent reviews and lease negotiations.
- Experience managing lease documentation, tenant onboarding and handover processes.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build relationships with tenants, brokers and internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM or property management systems.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Full right to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (or relevant jurisdiction) as required for the role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail leasing within the local market and understanding of local market dynamics.
- Familiarity with tenant fit-out processes, health & safety standards and commercial permitting.
- Experience using property management or leasing software and data-driven leasing strategies.
- Broker network and established relationships with retail brands and operators.
