Kitchen duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality, presentation and food preparation standards.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Test food for doneness and monitor food quality.
- Set up and break down the work station and serve food in proper portions.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
- Follow safety and security policies, report unsafe conditions and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect company assets and maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate professionally, support team goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required by the posting; no license or certification is specified.
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting or walking and physical tasks including lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds without assistance.
